Thursday 10 September: tours to 3 research facilities of WUR

If you choose the Sinderhoeve you can't join the other tours due to the duration and distance.

The  Sinderhoeve tour in Renkum  (12:15-14:00 including travel time)

The Sinderhoeve is an experimental field station that encompasses experimental ditches, experimental ponds, laboratories (the ‘Sinderhuis’) and seven hectares of arable land. All facilities are available for conducting aquatic and terrestrial research on the behaviour and effects of chemical substances in the environment as well as for more basic ecological research questions. During the tour, participants will visit the main research facilities and gain insight into the types of experiments conducted on site.

Tour duration: 60–70 minutes

Travel time: 30 minutes return (2× 15 minutes)
Carpooling is possible and will be organised by the Wageningen Campus team. If required, please gather at 12:00 at the parking in front of the GAIA/Lumen entrance, building 101, Droevendaalsesteeg 3.

Address:  Telefoonweg 77, 6871 NB Renkum

The  Wageningen Technical Solutions tour in Innovatron, building 121 (12:15-13:00)

WTS is a unique WUR facility because it understands the needs of researchers and students, and can translate them into the advanced (measuring) instruments and setups required to support research and education.

The  Wageningen Microbiome Center tour in Helix, building 124 (13:15-14:00)

Wageningen Microbiome Center (WMC) is a collaboration between Wageningen University & Research, UNLOCK and Netherlands Institute of Ecology (NIOO-KNAW). WMC aims to promote microbiome-related research activities by facilitating and fostering interactions across science groups, sharing expertise and infrastructures.
