Noldus Information Technology is a Wageningen-based company that develops innovative software and integrated research solutions for studying human and animal behavior. Its technologies are used by universities, research institutes, and industry worldwide to improve behavioral research in fields such as neuroscience, psychology, healthcare, and animal welfare.
Essensor is a sensory market research company with locations in Wageningen, Utrecht, and Vlaardingen. Every day, they test food and beverage products such as coffee, chocolate, beer, tapas, plant-based products, soft drinks, cakes, and confectionery. These sensory studies are conducted on behalf of the food industry and supermarket chains.
During these studies, groups of consumers (participants) are invited to taste and evaluate a selection of test products in sessions lasting approximately 30-60 minutes. They use their senses—smell, taste, sight, hearing, and touch—to assess the products.
Visit Essensor during the Wageningen Campus Expedition to discover your own sense of smell and taste and take home some fun sensory experiments to try yourself!
