The country’s oldest student jazz and Dixieland band, ‘De Ceresband’, has been performing throughout the country since 1922 with a line-up that changes every year. In the summer, the band travels to Southern Europe, where they tour the French Côte d'Azur and the Italian Riviera every year. Their wide-ranging repertoire consists of authentic New Orleans jazz classics and swinging Dixieland numbers. The musicians are exclusively students from Wageningen University & Research (WUR), playing instruments including the saxophone, trumpet, banjo, bass guitar, piano, drums, violin and vocals.
We look forward to seeing you on 26 May at the Impuls Lunch Concert. A great taster for the Ceresband’s performance at the Summervibes Festival on 18 June at the Wageningen Campus.

About the lunch concerts
Every Tuesday from 12:30 to 13:30 we invite you to enjoy a lunch concert or performance on Wageningen Campus: a moment to come together, relax, and be inspired by live music or dance.
The lunch concerts are meaningful because they:
- Connect – students, staff, and visitors meet in an informal setting
- Surprise – each week features a different artist and genre
- Celebrate diversity – both professional performers and students share the stage
- Energize – a performance in the middle of the day brings inspiration and a fresh perspective
This creates a varied series where no week is the same.
