New courses planned for WUR’s High-Performance Computing Cluster

Do your research, analyses, or thesis projects require large memory capacity, high computing power, or extensive data storage? The High-Performance Computing (HPC) cluster of WUR, Anunna, is designed to handle exactly these demands.

As part of a European network of supercomputers, Anunna can process increasing volumes of data and supports the wider deployment of Artificial Intelligence (AI) — making this campus facility truly future-proof.

Anunna is a shared research facility, accessible to researchers, students, companies, and knowledge institutions. It supports focused research and encourages collaboration between academic and professional partners and is available at a fixed price.

Participants learn practical tips & tricks to run computing jobs efficiently.

One researcher shared: “The HPC works much faster and allows me to run multiple jobs at the same time. This made an enormous difference in my calculation time. The course gave me the tools to get started right away.”

The IT department at WUR offers the courses free of charge, ranging from introductory to advanced level:

• Linux Basic – 20 October 2026 (8.30-12.00) - Wageningen Campus
• HPC Basic – 10 November 2026 (8.30-12.00) - Wageningen Campus
• HPC Advanced – 24 November 2026 (12.30-17.00) - Wageningen Campus
