Exposition: Eline Peek – Skin
Eline Peek paints skin as landscapes and in the layers that build that skin, you can see maps. Maps of events that make someone who they are. The paintings are about beauty, vulnerability, the familiar and the strange. About observing, interpreting and judging. Do you do that within a few seconds or do you take longer to allow the other views? You could see the paintings as an encouragement to keep looking and to stay interested in the other as a scientist and as a human being.
